Public sector management professionals dedicated to the efficient
delivery of services to the citizens of the Commonwealth.
The
Certified Public Manager (CPM) program began in Georgia
in 1976 and was soon endorsed by other states as a model for
training and developing professional public managers. The Kentucky
CPM Program was first established in 1985 through the Governmental
Services Center (GSC) and Kentucky State University (KSU). Today the
Program is no longer offered but remains loosely affiliated with the
National Certified Public Managers Consortium. The
Society remains hopeful that a new provider will be found and stands
ready to assist in the rebirth of the Program.
|
KSCPM remains committed to the idea that a well-trained
public workforce is one that adds value to the Commonwealth
in the providing of necessary government services to its
citizens. |
